Where To Buy Amazon Return Pallets (And Not Get Burned in 2025)

Last month I finally did it, I bought my first “makeup-only” Amazon return pallet just to see if the hype was real.

I called Top Pallet Liquidators (yes, my own warehouse, but I paid full price like any customer) and told them: no toys, no clothes, makeup only. They laughed and said “most people want mixed.” Whatever. I paid $480 including freight to Houston.

The truck showed up three days later. One huge gaylord box  basically the size of a small coffin. I dragged it inside, ripped it open, and my heart sank.

High-End Makeup Liquidation Pallets

Top layer looked rough. A few cracked pallets, some missing shadows. I almost threw the whole thing in the trash.

Then I dug deeper.

Fenty Beauty, Too Faced, Huda Beauty, even two Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow sets still sealed. Out of 180 palettes, only 20 were actually damaged. The rest? Brand new or barely swiped.

I took some quick iPhone photos on my kitchen floor (no fancy lighting) and posted on Facebook Marketplace: “Amazon makeup return palettes  \$8 each — cash & carry Houston — pickup only.”

Sold 160 pieces in four nights. One lady bought 20 for her daughter’s birthday and kept saying “thank you for real stuff, not testers!” Total revenue: $1,280 After shipping cost and the few cracked ones I tossed: $1,120 pure profit in less than a week.

Lessons I learned the hard way (so you don’t have to):

  • Never buy “mixed manifest” if you want makeup — tell them “cosmetics only” or walk away.
  • Ask for the weight. Anything under 400 lbs usually means more junk.
  • Call before you pay — good pallets disappear in hours.
  • Take photos immediately and list the same day — people want it NOW.

That’s it. No fluff, no fake reviews. Just what actually happened.

Let me know in the comments if you’ve ever scored (or got burned) on a makeup pallet — I read every single one.
